Be Careful What You Wish For

I was about halfway through my Year of YES! when I started seeing a pattern. Things were showing up for me in a big and powerful way. I was making changes. My life was shifting tremendously. I was waking up. I was changing my consciousness about power, money, busy-ness, business, and my worth. I was beginning to actually live out my Soul’s Purpose. I was changing lives and seeing how my acquired life experiences made me an exceptionally qualified Life Facilitator.

But what I was attracting in was showing up in unexpected ways. Things weren’t quite going in the direction that I had so carefully envisioned. I had spent hours and hours pouring over what I wanted to attract in. I had been practicing dream boards and the Law of Attraction for years. I was no newb. I knew what I wanted. I knew what I wanted it to look and feel like. And I was excited about it.

Or so I thought.

But this is where I learned to be specific. I learned from my mistakes. While I was dating right before my birthday, I called in a relationship that was amazing, and healing, and fulfilling, and beautiful on so many levels. But it wasn’t right. I had called in something that I wanted to feel like a previous relationship. I had called in something that was based on a life lesson that I had already learned. And while I know that there’s no wasted effort in the Universe, I also took that as a huge life lesson to learn to get a heck of a lot more specific.

Don’t be afraid to judge. You have one life. You have one Soul’s Purpose. You were born with it. There’s no changing it, altering it, or denying it. And you know it. Those little voices you hear when you go for job interviews and your soul cries out to you that it will die if you cage it in a little cube farm? Yes. Those ones. Listen to them. Learn to be judgmental. Learn to be discerning. Let yourself go back there. If you’re not living the life that you know you need to be, the life that your spirit was birthed into your beautiful finite human body to come here and create, then it’s time to get on the right track.
