International Women's Day
The Girl Revolution is inviting anyone and everyone to come to the bridge that crosses Lake Bob Sandlin in Pittsburg, Texas on FM 21 (off HWY 11) at 4:30 PM on Monday, March 8, International Women’s Day.
On Monday, March 8, 2010 Women for Women International is hosting a global campaign called Join me on the Bridge.Women from all over the world will be meeting on a bridge in solidarity for human rights of women and girls.

Half the Sky is inspired by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists Nicholas Kristofs and Sheryl WuDunns New York Times bestseller, Half The Sky, which follows the stories of extraordinary women around the world as they struggle to overcome oppression. Kristof and WuDunn focus on three major problems facing women sex trafficking, maternal mortality and violence against women. They argue that empowering women is the key to alleviating poverty and uplifting communities in developing countries.
